Before attending today’s Remembrance Day ceremony in Salford, I had the pleasure of meeting Salford’s brave veterans on Friday, including Joseph Thomas, who recently received France’s highest honour of the Légion d’Honneur.

I was also privileged to present veterans badges to three of our local heroes and thank them for their sacrifice for all our futures.
