Outside Tory conference this morning with Thomas Cook workers, Lucy Powell MP, GM Mayor Andy Burnham, NW Unite the Union, as well as many other local leaders, councillors, MP’s and Parliamentary candidates.

The Government has serious questions to answer:
Why did the Business Secretary not meet Thomas Cook before the collapse?
Why did the German Government see fit to intervene and save Condor, the German element, but the U.K. Government refused to save profitable U.K. elements of the company?
Why years on from the BHS scandal and the subsequent collapse of Carillion has the Government done nothing to change corporate law to end bandit capitalism and short termism in corporate culture?
