The worst cost-of-living crisis in over 30 years and impending economic misery for millions means we need to see much more short term support than we currently do, but without long-term structural change incomes will not magically change to provide the standard of life people deserve.

We need A Living Standards Settlement for the UK.

• A contract between Government and the population that Economic policy levers will deliver a ‘defined’ decent standard of living for all. Public ownership of key utilities is one such lever as is changing company law so a direct duty is owed to workers not just shareholders.
