Rebecca Long Bailey MP Putting Salford and Eccles First
I was pleased to meet and support the brilliant campaign by local people to save the public tow path at Ralli Quays recently.
The campaign has huge support from Salford Mayor Paul Dennett and Salford Labour councillors and aims to keep the right to roam along the paths of the river Irwell for future generations.
Article below suggests developers have made changes to plans which originally blocked the path off. This is great news and shows the power of local campaigning but the campaign now wants ample time to see the new redrafted plans & discuss them with residents before final planning decisions are made. I hope that this wish can be granted at the next planning panel meeting.
