Recently I went to support Tracey Richardson, Marie McCourt and their families who were campaigning in Swinton to raise awareness for ‘Helen’s Law’
Tracey from Swinton and Marie from St Helens lost loved ones to brutal murderers who refused to reveal the whereabouts of the bodies. Both families have suffered years of despair and torment and were denied the right to say goodbye to their loved ones or even understand the true extent of what happened to them.
Helens law seeks to deny parole until the location of a body is disclosed.
The Government is currently reviewing proposals but as yet no firm statements or commitments have been made.
