Today Nuclear Testing Veterans, their families, Susie Boniface from the Mirror, Comedian Al Murray Atomic Labrats and MP’s and Lords from across the Parliamentary spectrum stood outside Parliament to call upon the PM to deliver their long-promised medal. It is time to put right this 70 year injustice.

Nuclear Testing Veterans, widows, and descendants then marched along Whitehall to lay wreaths at the Cenotaph, Downing Street, and the Ministry of Defence, in honour of the 22,000 servicemen who have been ignored by successive governments for 70 years.

Veterans have lost their lives and many more have faced serious health issues as a result of their exposure to radiation. The Government has the power to award medals, research for descendants, financial and medical support, war pension reform and more. We must end this scandal now.
